Turbotoyotas xD turbo kit info/news r&D picts

Any more news?
BTW guys I was thinking, if there is enough interest with this turbo kit AND you guys don't mind relocating the battery to underneath the driver's/ passenger seat maybe we could see about a group buy from Braille batteries with one of their thin carbon-fiber batteries?
Honestly, I think relocating it to underneath the passenger seath is better because you'd have to use a saws-all and cut out the jack holder underneath the driver's seat. I think I'm willing to do the relocation just to make the engine bay look a little cleaner.

Working on some of the fabricated parts....
But look for more picts/real updates after the Holidays.
With my schedule and the customers there is allot going on over the next month.

Todd
PS- battery option will stay in the engine compartment.
Unless of course you decide to do something on your own.

i would kinda want to see the battery in the middle of the backseat floor, and get a small cover to match the center console I really can't wait for this, 2009 is going to rock for the xD

id prefer to keep the battery in the engine compartment if at all possible, or relocate it to the trunk somewhere.
how will going with the gt28 affect the price? dont know alot about going with different size turbos. the gt28 is smaller right? therefore, better spool times but less max efficiency?

GT28RS is a ball bearing turbo. Is smaller and faster spooling. It should also be more efficient. than the other option.
Either way I don't think this engine will take any of those 2 turbos out of their efficiency zone. At least not with stock internals.
A GT28RS should be good for 250-300 whp and should me more than capable to handle up to 14 psi of boost.
Price wise a GT28 is around $1200. Probably around $500 more than the first option.

I was trying to keep things simple by just offering the T3/t4 and the GT28rs..
but requests have made me change my mind, and there will be a few T25 flanged turbos available as well.

Off course this is just a guess but I will like to think this engine should be good for 200-210 whp at 8psi
