2012 Pioneer T1819 Radio into a 2009
So I own an 2009 xD and a 2012 xB. I love the stock radio in the xB and was looking on eBay and saw one available for a decent price. Does anyone know if I will be able to hook it up in the xD without any issues?

does the 2009 xD have the USB port?
if not then you would not be able to use the USB/AUX functionality of the 2012 HU on the 2009 xD, unless the radio came with the USB/AUX wiring cable and you can swap it out.
other then that it will work fine, plug and play, steering wheel controls will work as well.
I have a 2010 Alpine radio in my 2006 tC and it works perfectly, just plugged it in. I even swapped in the new style USB/AUX cable and kept my iPod/USB/AUX functions.

I was reading on another forum and it appears that I need to get the mic, that is missing from the radio that I bought. That should fix that issue. I think I found one for 50 bucks. If that is true, then this would be the easiest install for a radio that I have ever done.

told you, lol. with the way the model cycles happened, Scion had to account for legacy wiring harnesses, so their latest factory radios, with newer and newer features, would still work on the older models they were still selling.
the bonus is that pretty much every factory radio scion has ever offered so far, will plug and play into every year of Scion, whether its a discontinued 2004 xA or a brand new 2013 FR-S
the only thing you have to account for is the extra wiring for things like the USB or microphone, which can be plugged in and routed to preference.

So I got the part. I just had to get the mic from the dealership, which cost 49 dollars. If anyone needs to know the part number let me know. Now I just have to track down the USB cable, since Toyota wanted to make it a propritary adapter. Greed rules all designs.

I would love to know the part number for the microphone, thanks.

Just ordered mine. Bluetooth won't show up unless that's plugged in

And to follow up on that I ordered a bunch of parts to make it install perfectly:
PT546-00120-US - USB Plug
PT546-00120-CH - A pin adapter that I think is needed but won't know until next week when I try to install.
PT546-74120-MC - Mic Kit
PT546-00120-US - USB Plug
PT546-00120-CH - A pin adapter that I think is needed but won't know until next week when I try to install.
PT546-74120-MC - Mic Kit

Another correction, those details are right and wrong. The only part number you will need in those three is the Mic Kit if your stereo comes with it's wiring harnesses. I was taking the info from another non scion forum and they needed harness. The usb plug part that no on can seem to figure out it is:
86190-53040 - ADAPTER ASSY, STEREO
And it's not cheap. But basically if you get the stereo with the wiring harnesses attached it will cost you 150ish to add the usb plug and bluetooth mic. Good luck!

Hello.
First, sorry for my bad English.
My name is Jose and I live in Spain. I own a 2003 MR2 and I installed a 86120-0R130 in the car. This radio have the same connectors.
At first I had problems with the sound because pin 8 of connector CN700 on the new radio is mute and the car was the trigger of the auto antenna.
Deriving the cable to the cable car for a new antenna adapter like this:
The mute's problem was solved.
Now radio and cd work.
To use the USB connector need PT546-00120-US cable like this:
Well, my big problem is the bluetooth. The bluetooth menu does not appear in the setup.
After read this post, I think my radio needs the microphone too.
DStreak, Do you have any pictures of the microphone kit and your installation?
What type of connector have the microphone?
Thank you very much!
