Upgraded my mids and highs. You can't really tell anything in this video but I tried to compare what the old components sounded like with the new ones. Anyway, here you go. Box will be getting rebuilt this summer to the new sub can be mounted regular rather than inverted. It looks great inverted, but I want stealthy install.

Nice man, I want to do something similar removing the spare tire. How much RMS are you feeding that 12? I'm trying to decide on the right amount of bass and still keep my SQ high.

Are you happy with the decision to turn off the rear speakers?

thanks, it is getting just under 300 watts. I am going to completely redo the whole thing this summer though. Rear speakers are not off except for the video and you can't really hear them anyway.

Custom built by me. labor intensive i must say.. the color is also matched to the other interior pieces so it looks completely stock. This is the first time ive ever done/ tried anything like this.

damn, looks really good. I did mine the easy way for now, I have big plans for the system in this car once the wife finishes her doctorate work and starts working. Until then, this is my only car and I have to save the cargo area to be able to use. Once this can be a second car, it's on.

A RF T1000-1bdcp. The subs will get about 750 watts each which is rather under powered. That however, will be fixed one day in the future. The RMS on each sub is a VERY moderately rated 1000 watts. In the end they will be getting about 1500 watts each. That is down the road however as I already have the aforementioned amp. The plan wasn't to use these subs, but a pair of lower RMS versions. But the deal was too good to pass up, so I didn't pass it up!

Trying the new subs out, no box yet. Only about 300 watts total.

Wow. A bit to update.

First: No longer using the T1000-1bdcp. Sold that and bought a T1500-1bdcp. Birthsheet said 19xx watts total.

Box: Not done yet, almost though! It has a fiberglass bottom and MDF top. Pictures!

MDF bottom side panels fiberglassed into the sparetire mold:

3 sides cut and molded into the fiberglass bottom.

4 sides cut and molded into bottom and test fit to make sure:

After that I layered about 2 more layers of the thin fiberglass cloth and then added about 3 layers of the thicker fiberglass mat. Bottom of the enclosure is very solid. It supports me doing push ups using the enclosure sides as handles.

Baffles:

Subs in the bottom baffle (sub on the right will not be used, just wanted to fill both cut outs. The big ___ sub on the left is what is being used, 2 of them total.)

sorry for the delay. just about done, I have a friend who is donating some PVC pipe (6") and a flared end cap for my port. Only problem is he lives in Indiana and I am in Tennessee. So I have to wait until I go up there to get it, which will be Wednesday

Until then, I can't finish the box. It is all cut out, the baffles are attached but not glue so it is still VERY leaky. The trim is cut out but not attached, so it's just sitting in there. I also can't glue any carpet down until I get the port in. So, with all that being said, I have it all in there just not finished yet.

Now Pics:

How it will look when finished, only with subs showing through carpet and carpet glue down instead of just thrown on the box.

No trim for the amp side of the box yet, eventually I am going to move my mids and highs amp (a Rockford Fosgate T400-4) back with this amp.
