New owner and avic-7010bt question
Hello all,
I just picked up a left over RS2.0 last week and so far am loving it. I'm coming from a 1990 All-Trac, so it's a bit of an adjustment, but it's a much more practical car and fun to drive as well.
I have a question that someone may know the answer to: the xD came with the Pioneer AVIC-7010bt and a USB cable. I've come to find out that the USB cable alone will not play music from my IPod, i need a component cable to do so. my question is, should this have come from the dealer, or is it something that did not come with this model radio and had to be purchased after-market. I have to take the car back next week for them to fix the steering wheel controls and want to know if i should make a case that the dealer pay for the cable or not.
Thanks for the help, and I look forward to being a member here!

interesting the USB won't play the music. for once I am glad I have the old iPod hook up.
The cable you are speaking of is the 1/8"- 1/8" cable that plugs into the headphone port on the iPod and the AUX port in your car?

there should be 2 cables in your glove box for the rs2. One usb and one ipod cable. If you don't have 2 it may have fell behind the glove box. there is 1 usb cable and one ipod cable. I used the ipod cable to connect the ipod to. You will need to set aux1 or aux2 on the radio for it to play though. At least I had to on mine.
