You looking to get tickets constantly, or do you just not want to be able to see at night?

Yeah, they'll get you for running those. It's just way too blue, almost purple.

In fact, if you were to run anything more than a 55 watt bulb, most likely the cops will turn around and pull you over, or someone you just blinded might use their phone and turn you in.

Stick with something around 6000 to 8000 Kelvin. And if you use any more wattage than 55, I wouldn't go over a 6000K bulb. It just draws way too much attention.

with anything over 8000K.. i wouldn't worry about blinding the person in front of you..
moreso.. i'd be worried about seeing him

and to the OP:
20K? what the hell color is that?
uhh.. every HID is over that..

4300K is your usual color.. and will provide the most light.
5000K is a bit more cool.. and the higher you go..
past 6000K.. despite it looking more pretty.. overall light output is much lower.

go do some more research on your own.

Put rocks inside your headlights, they'll produce more light.

I live in West Palm. I have seen 4-5 people with the headlights in the area. (2 civics 1 explorer can't think of what else)

I talked to the guy who owns the explorer and he told me a local shop where he got them, they were 25k and he told me where he got them. Went there and they don't have ones that fit the xD. The color I am looking for is near bright purple (near pink)

Also, anyone know if I can switch in 8k bulbs into the 30k ballast withotu a problem?
Anyone ever buy from this site? They sell 30k ones..

lol you're asking us these questions...yet you fail to realize that all of our answers have been nothing but UNsupportive of your notion to go with a 20,000Kelvin HID kit. Plain and simple, no, we don't know- if we did, we wouldn't share because its a stupid idea.

Take your ricetasm-HID-kit to cardomain or something and look there

Just knowing that multiple Honda Civics ran similar setups would dissuade me from even considering them.

  • No cutting or splicing in installation
  • 35W Ballasts
  • 3200 Lumens output
  • Waterproof and shock proof
  • Xenon lights create 3 times more light than halogen bulbs.
  • Xenon lights use 35 watts vs 55 watt halogen bulbs.
  • Xenon lights last 10x longer.
Hhahahahahahaahha. How have they not been sued for false advertisement yet?

They can probably use those stats if they are accurate for any one of the bulbs (like the 4300K or something). So if anyone asks they can say "oh, that is just for our x model of bulb."
