Default Availability of 16" Alloys

For anyone who ordered 16" alloys with their xD-

My wife got her xD just over a week ago, minus the alloy wheels and rear bumper protector. Her dealer says the bumper protector is in, and the word is the alloys should be in by the end of the month.

And yes, she loves the car. So do I.

Those alloys have been available for months on the website. I wouldnt take that as a sign that they will be available.

The salesman I have been working with heard from his rep last night that they will never be available. A manufacturing defect or something. This is a real bummer for me, who already paid for them.

Looks like I will be going aftermarket.

Well...Since many people here have been getting their alloy whees, I decided to call my dealer again, but this time not my sales person. I called the parts department. I asked the parts department what the status was of my wheels as I had purchased my xD on 8/17/07...Gave him my name and nothing came up. Sooo, to make a long story short, my wheels were NEVER ordered. I was upset, but the parts guy was cool...Said he would have them her Friday for me. Arrrrg. You know, I spoke to my sales person about 6 times to follow up and I even called Scion and made a formal complaint. Apparently no one wanted to even check to see if they were ordered. They just continued to give me the run around. My purchase was awesome up to this point. OK, done venting. =-) It's the simplest things that can really cause a sale to go sour.
