Engine vibration at 2500 rpm
I just purchased my first Scion, the xD. The only annoyance I have noticed is an engine vibration that I can only feel at my feet, on the floor board, and only at around 2500-2600 rpm. It becomes cyclical (2/sec.) at 65mph, and that's where it's annoying as that's the typical highway speed I cruise at. I've never had a VVT before, so I am wondering if this is usual for this type of engine or if I should take it in to have something checked out?

That doesn't sound normal to me. Since it sounds like you have it pretty well pinned down, it should be easy for a tech to reproduce and diagnose. Take it into the dealer - use that warranty, baby!

By the way, I solved it. Tire pressure was the culprit. I didn't even realize they were low until my warning light came on. As soon as I filled them up to spec, the vibration was gone. Since the vibration started right after I took it off the lot, this means that the dealer didn't even have the tires aired up properly. The light came on when they dipped below 30psi and the max is 51! You might want to check your own if you haven't yet.
