ipod Connectivity Help
I bought a used 2009 Scion XD yesterday and I'm having some trouble figuring out what iPod connection cable I need to use so I can get my 2GB iPod nano to work with the Ipod connectivity port which is located underneath the stereo on the right side. The car also includes a seperate AUX port as well.
I've been hearing that the appropriate cables are apparently supposed to come included with the car from the dealership but I've checked my car's interior compartments and have not found any cables.
The car is used even though it is in new condition because it's 3 months old with one 1 previous owner but it was returned to the dealership where they sold it to me.
The cables that came with my iPod are for USB ports and a wall adapter for charging it. So I'm confused about what type of cable I need for the ipod connectivy port.
Any help is appriciated.

If it's used then there's no guarantee that you got the cords. Maybe the original owner lost them? If it was sold as new (which btw, I'd be ____ed... they can't sell a car as new or priced that way if it's had an owner or any miles) then go back and demand they get you new cords. While you're at it make sure you have all your manuals and everything that should have come with the car originally.
Some slightly used cars come "as is" If that's the case then you'd have to replace them and I figure it'll be quite costly because they're not standard ipod connectors.Your best bet is just using the AUX input. Goto any electronics store and get a male to male cord and you'll be set.

Thanks for the help guys.
The dealership sold the car as used. The original price was $19,500 but it got reduced by $1,100 by the time I bought it (got it for around $17k). It has around 3,300 miles on it and the original owner added on a new shift ****, carpet floor mats, trd sport muffler, 18 inch 5 spoke black alloy wheels, scion security and a rear spoiler. It also has wheel locks too.
I'll be contacting my dealership today and I'll be going there tomorrow anyway to pay off the rest of the car.Yeah, I was afraid of the possibility that since the car is used that the original owner may have taken the cables.
I also didn't notice until yesterday night that there appears to be a cap missing near the emergency brake right above the "P" parking icon. I looked in my manual and it seems like the dealership must have accidently forgotten to put it back on.
update: I tried using my computer speaker cable with the car's AUX port and it works just fine with the iPod. I'll ask the dealership about the ipod cable anyway.

the missing "cap" you speak of, is so that you can push the release button to get the car out of park in case it isn't running (like to tow it, so you can shift it into neutral). it doesn't HAVE to be there, but it doesn't look as stylish without it being there

Oh, so that's what it is for. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow anyway, so I'll talk to them about it and the ipod connection cable since there's no harm in asking.
Thanks for all your help guys.
By the way, I just got the iPod connection cable from ebay for $36.
