Default Pioneer Premium Head Unit Compatibility Question

I recently had a 2008 Scion xD with the upgraded Pioneer head unit (Model# PT546-00081). Long story, but I don't have the car anymore. I am looking at the 2010 xD now. I have the radio from the previous car. Would I be able to swap out the base unit with this older premium one?
I heard Scion eliminated the iPod cable jack and replaced it with USB support. Will I have compatibility issues?

Any help appreciated!

Everything hsould be pug and play, and work except for the USB, not sure however, you'd have to compare the harnesses and harness layouts from the 2 models to be sure.

if you decide to go with the old unit, and do ipod, i have both cables for that (from time back of the stereo to the ipod jack, and from the jack to the ipod) so all you'ld need is the jack. pm me if interested.

that i do not know, check with your local dealer or look online. i let that in my car so i wouldn't have a hole where the port is.
