looking for someone that owns the xD RS2.0. have a question about it. I,m about to buy one on Friday.

Does the iPod and Aux jacks not come hooked up like the standard xD models?

I am buying the RS 2.0 and the connections are in the glove box is this the way there supposed to be?

 

I can't speak to how they come, but it would generally be considered an upgrade to have a connector in the glove box, as it allows you to more discretely leave your iPod in the car without tempting thieves. So if this is the case on the 2.0, good on Scion.

And congrats on your purchase... I really like the RS 2.0... I would totally have bought one if that was the model that came out last year.

 

It will not be like an ordinary xD because you have the limited edition stereo which is the main selling point of the RS 2.0 besides the paint job. Shame on your dealer for not telling you.

 

Thanks for your input. I don't really blame the dealer .The car wasn't at the dealer yet when I made my order. So the salesperson hadn't seen the car any ealier than I did.I will pick it up friday. Test drove it last night. Love everything about it so far. I probably woudn't use the Ipod connects. anyway . Just thought it looked unfinished to see wires in glove box!

 

If there are wires in your glovebox, go back to the dealer and ask them about it. They should have set the car up properly before handing it over to you.

doesnt matter if he seen it 1 minute before you, its a car he needs to know like the back of his hand before u even know about it. He's supposed to inform you of all of its features as well as how to use them.
im sorry, just very angry towards ignorant dealers

I agree with Zefoxe, (and I work at a dealership) the radio that your xD comes with does not have the Ipod jack in the normal location (which is infront of the shifter, next to the power outlet) It is located in the glovebox

 

congrats for not letting the rest of the xD community judge what you should buy. now go have fun building it!!!! I want pics when you're done. the heck with all those naysayers

I was hoping to see some "real life" photos of the special series in wasabi. I'm considering buying one next week when they come into the dealership I'm working with. I'm just not sure about the "shade" of green? Is it a brighter green like a lime? I know what wasabi looks like....but no idea what electric wasabi looks like! Anybody have non stock photos?

I am supposed to pick my wasabi up today! I will get pics added soon. Yes it is a little brighter than the stock photos. But not an ugly color! But it depends who you ask.

 

oooh! Can't wait to see your photos! I just purchased the red one yesterday, but have to wait a few days for it....just couldn't wait for the green...but there still might be a chance! LOL....I'm in Nashville...so if yours is today...maybe they'll arrive here tomorrow?

And Zefoxe....I'm looking but sorry I can't find any non-stock photos of it? I'm new to this forum, sorry about that. I've even searched on google and can't find but ONE and the outside lighting was so bad I don't think it truly gave me any idea of its shade of green.

 

The dealer had to bring one from another dealer for me. The one they were going to get isn't supposed to arrive until next month. Couldn't wait either. But now I learned a little while ago that it may be as late as monday to get my car.
Their working out the cash for clunkers. That was my down payment.
