Someone scratched my baby :(
Pulled into a parking lot to pick up some food when a durango was coming in the other direction for the same spot, being the nice guy I am and noticing that the guy wasn't paying much attention I decided to let him take the spot. I just pulled next to him in the spot that was further away, except I decided to waited about 30 seconds to let him get out of his car before I pulled all the way in. Well, 30s later and he didn't get out so I figured he was letting me pull in. I pull in, put it in neutral, pull brake, grab key, and get out and then *bump* he smashes his door into my front passenger side door. He hit my side mirror, but it gave way so there was no damage done, and then scratched up my door about the size of a thumb
He apologised and said he wasn't paying attention because HE WAS ON HIS COMPUTER AS HE WAS DRIVING! and after a few deep breaths I released my anger and just told him it's okay. As if trying to goad me into yelling at him he then goes "new car, huh?" I just bit my lip and said it wasn't worth getting insurance involved. Looking back I'm kicking myself for not having taken his information and filing a claim. From now on screw being a nice guy, accident or not my car was damaged.
Edit: since it is scratched I will need to repair it, any suggestions? the paint code on BRedM is 3r3.

damn down to the primer....
well like i said before, its a cheap try and actually always good to have, the rubbing compound and buff. Otherwise it sounds like you need to have the scratch resurfaced and repainted
