Cobalt... do you need to remove the whole dash to get at it? I briefly removed the top section of the waterfall, but it didn't look like there was much access from there.

 

the whole dash. A-pillars, waterfall, gauge cluster, all off it out. I took some pics when i did my foam tape job, still need to post them. Too many how-to to do, never enough time....

 

If I did that I would certainly create more NEW rattles, lol.

hey..what happened to the thread that cobaltbravo did??...anyway thanks to that thread ( cobalt) i finally ripped out the waterfall...hehe..thats abt all that i dare for now... anyways...

apart from taping down the a/c duct holders i gave the "waterfall" a good tap and shake...found some rattling on that too.. this the culprit..

the sliding feature to swing the a/c vents left-right..u can feel that theres some gap between the slot and shaft...



what did i do?... wrapped a electric tape round one side of the slot..




i only drove around for awhile...think i heard no rattle (yet?)...

give it a try if urs still rattling...
