When people get upset over a game, I gently remind them that it is a game, nothing to be taken seriously.

The advertisement is just an advertisement and you don't have to take it seriously.

Sheeple = reg people, Deviants = "badasses"

According to Christianity, children of God have many metaphors. One of which is the Lord as our shepherd and we His sheep. Hence, the "sheeple" bashing was not something I prefer to associated with.

^ Flip that around. How would the world be without "religion"?
UR answer = in chaos
At the same time, there are some "religions" that feed off destruction which is a sense in-line with this "deviant" campaign.

I knew there was a reason I had avoided reading any of this nonsense all this time.

Ever think you're blowing it way out of context on what its supposed to represent, if anything?

QFT.

Especially that one with all the sheep and shepherds.

R2D2-

If you truly are a Christian whole heartedly, you should forgive Scion's marketing department for their supposed error in judgement.

This campaign is Toyota/Scion's way of stirring the pot. Look it's working! It's working with people who own and do not own Scions...amazing. Get the world to talk about the imaginary objects in Scion's campaign and it spreads like wildfire. Kind of like the Bible did.

Creativity is the key to successful advertising....always has been. The target age for the XD is what is trying to be "entertained". I have never seen the commercial until this post and I gotta say it is very creative and definetely causes a buzz.

If you're that worried about being associated with that marketing campaign, why buy the vehicle? Toyota makes other similar vehicles with the yawn-inducing Toyota campaigns... Get a Yaris if you don't like the attitude.

I love it I do not have time or room in my skull to be offended by things like this. If I do not like somthing, I do not watch it. Life is that simple and uncomplicated.

Christianity in itself is a metaphor for Astrology.

^ Wrong.. U have the right to ur own "opinion", however don't impose and/or generalize ur own "ideals/beliefs" on others, and don't (scion) associate that kind of campaign with those of us who have the faith (2 Timothy 4:3-4 is the warning of these kinds of teachings).

Just a side note, but I get everyone’s religion pushed on me including Christianity almost every single day, usually twice on Sundays & get it stuck to my... garage door a few times a week "no pun intended" and even on TV non stop. Yet you do not see me on any websites complaining

I did notice your screen name was R2D2.... Did you not find starwars offensive with all the aliens, talk of the force, people speaking from the dead, no talk of heaven or hell, clones & no talk of the Lord?
