Who is actually going to buy an '08 xD?

Was hoping to be able to buy a Yaris 5-door RS, but this looks to be the closest equivalent. Prefer the body on the Yaris, but interior of xD is essentially that of the Yaris with more available options.

There's a chance I may get a 2009, because my xA is going to be paid off in a few months, and I want to ride out the no car payment thing as long as I can. The big decision breaker for me is the interior. Being that's where I'd be spending most of my time with the car, if I don't like it, then I won't buy one. From these pictures, the interior is pretty horrible. I'm hoping it's better in person; we'll just have to wait and see.

I might get a xD depending on how much it is and if that kit will be available from the dealer.

I dont consider the g35 a real skyline. its not AWD, its not turbo.
even if japanese nissan says it is.
just like lancer isnt considered an evo by the general population.
BUT, you can still call an evo a lancer, because it is a Lancer Evolution.
Same with imprezza. Imprezza wrx sti.
Im talking about 09 nissan skyline gt-r, awd, turbo, full on badass

It depends on how much room there is in the xD, whether I'll buy one. The xB has by far the most head/leg room for the driver of anything I've seen up to and including the hummer h2. Both my wife and I are over 6'6" so fitting into the car is an important part. :D
The original xB has 46" head room and 45" leg room, compared to xA's 39" and 41" respectively. Like most cars, the xA is barely enough and not comfy, while the xB is. Larger cars aren't any better, the Camry for example has under 39" head and under 42" leg room, pretty much the same as the xA. The Hummer has 40.5" headroom and 41.3" legroom, and pretty much all cars regardless of outer size fall into this range of "comfy for 6'2" and smaller".
So if the xD is a little roomier than the xA as claimed, I might go with it. If not I'll stick to the xB till I find something that's affordable, gets good mileage, and fits.

if you're talkin skylines there many different models. GT-R series didnt not include the g35. Most people associate skyline with the gt-r34. the g35 is a v35 (known in japan as 350 GT) Also announced is the infiniti g37 (v36) coming for 2008. have fun with people confusing the gtr and the v36

If the price is going to be what I think, it'll probably draw a lot of customers away from the Yaris 4-door. Many young family types and college students.
I mean... Same platform, same price (my guess), same or better MPG, more cargo room, more standard safty features, more horsepower.
Some people will think it's ugly compared to the "baby Camry" looks of the Yaris S, but I do see this vehicle canabalizing it's Toyota cousin.
Will the "tuner crowd" flock to it? Time will tell. But with all the excitement over the polarizing new tC powered box, the xD might follow in the xA's footsteps.

The Yaris sold more xA's for me than anything else. They'd come in for the Yaris, want this and that, then we'd show them that the Yaris with this and that was $1200 more than an xA, and the xA feels a lot sturdier, they were done.
