Ok,
I just got the Premium Alpine HU for my 10 xD, I want to install a Back up camera in the space on the rear door but I can not find any information on a stock camera for the xD (What will fit in the spot above and to the left of the license place), or how to wire it! I'm pretty sure with the Alpine HU I just need to plug the component cable into the back of the HU and wire the power for the camera to the reverse lights. That way when the reverse lights come on so does the camera and that will cue the HU to switch to show the picture on the screen.

 

yes, a lot of the rearview camera systems just have you plug into the input, and tap the reverse wire so the head unit can switch to the cam automatically when put into reverse.

That would lead me to believe that a variety of cameras should work. I was looking into a reverse cam for my tc and thats what my "research" yielded, take it as you will

i have heard good things about the "Boyo" brand - amazon or ebay usually has some good prices
