Default Fuel pump wiring

Anyone know an easy way to change the fuel pump so that it starts pumping when the ignition Is turned on instead of waitin untill the car is turned over? Any help would be great... With my return system I hate having to crank extra long untill the car starts because I'm waiting for fuel. My old car the pump started to pump right away when the key was turned to on, the tc waits untill you start cranking.. Thanks.

It looks like that switch is tripped when power is sent to the starter or the key goes to that point. I take it I could just find that relay and remove it and hard wire it? or would that be impossible? Any help here would be appreciated!

I dont think its necessary too.. and yes the pump works on ignition, it primes your fuel lines during initial key before cranking.

^^ sure about that? i know it primes it at a specified time but doesnt inject until you crank..

check out this procedure, it is supposed to operate with the key to ignition. otherwise your pump might be bad

what mods do you have on your car? your car should start like stock as long as you have adequate fuel and timing during cranking.. some boosted tc will have some longer start up due to changes in fueling and air flow and different spark plug

The stock system has a system in place on the fuel rail that keeps enough fuel to start the car before the pump starts. That link you gave me they use the handheld tester to activate the pump and do a active test. normally the pump will not start until the car is turned over. Now im not sure if they changed the system in the later years of tc's since mine is an 06 thats how its wired.. since they changed the ecu they might have changed it in the ones after the 06 model.

I'm having this same issue when trying to start my car and think it might be fuel pump related (wiring). It happens when I drive a bit then turn off and come back to my car and doesn't want to start. Did you ever figure it out?
