Default rear wheel well

What is the best way to resolve this rear wheel well rusting out? Hard to see, but the entire outer left side is rusted going upwards.

Best way...take it to a body shop and ask them what it's going to cost to repair your rust issues. My guess, the right side isn't far behind the left and trying to repair all of the rust damage is likely going to rapidly cost more than the car is worth.

Based upon what that looks like, I would save my money and drive it into the ground.

I'm going to try to patch it, and put some type of plastic wheel well cover on the rears. This car has about 107,000 miles. At this rate the body will fly apart before the engine, and transmission go bad.

I'd get it properly repaired which would most likely require cutting out the rusted metal and fabricating metal sheets and welded in place. These are Toyotas and the engine and transmission can easily go 200, 300 thousand miles with proper maintenance. I have over 325,000 miles on my 2005 tC and wouldn't let it go for anything. So for me it's worth repairing. Who wants to be paying alot more for a new car with a monthly payment. And would be sad to have another tC go to junkyard heaven to early. But I understand everyone's situation is different. Just my 2 cents.
