i also had a question too. i noticed that since i did the install it takes a while to start the car and sometimes i even have to pump the gas a few times, is this normal?

You really shouldn't notice a difference in start-up. I would recheck everything right away! The last thing you want is your fuel system to fail.

i had to recheck ayways after a day i stop reading my gas level. i know my bad but everything is fine now . i was running 8 psi on stock fuel pump with 650cc injectors and e manage ultimate. now i got the walbro and im goin for a tune @ 12 psi ! my turbo is small so i dont think ill be able to crack the 300s

Good luck with your setup.
I was running 9-10psi on stock pump with a T04E 50trim and it was fine. In fact many people are running at lease that on the stock pump. I only changed mine for peace of mind.

What I thought was the easiest part of my kit has been a big pain.... The walbro pump is longer so it hits the bottom of the tank , well the filter does and cause of this I don't get a good seal and fumes are getting in my car big time. I came up with a plan of using the handle of a hammer to make some type of dent on the tank giving me a little more room. Is this a good solution ? Or is not supossed to hit the bottom of the tank ?

So... I was looking around to make sure this was actually in the Tech part of the site (it wasn't, even though the post was marked as Tech - but it is listed now)... and I cleaned up some of the immaturity.
You may now resume your regular discussion.

Yeah mine never hit the bottom of my tank either....somethings up. Try getting a new fuel pump housing? junkyard? our fuel pump housings probably similar to ones in other toyota sedans like the camry etc.

just fyi, i did this mod. pretty good writeup.
on a side note if you trim the four tabs at the bottom of the walbro, than trim the grommet channel for the fuel filter out of the end cap of the housing it will fit without zip ties...... and will snap shut on its own.
thanks again for doing the hunting for this part. awesome since mine just went out.

im gonna bump this 1 more time, but would the install of a new stock fuel pump be about the same? or is it easier? just remove stock then put another stock on (reason i ask is i have 125k on my car and i think its time to change it before something happens lol

it's a lot easier though, take out, take apart, disconnect, re-connect new pump and all over again backwards. Pretty easy, I did the walboro in less than 2 hours. I'll post up pics of my work.

i've got the Ptuning kit which came with 550cc injectors and at 13 lbs a/f leans out toward redline so safe is 11.5 for me untill i get teh walbro =)
just in case, the turbo is a 57 trim .83 in the rear....
