1972 Celica engine swap?
I am thinking of buying a 72 Celica, but i am worried about finding parts for the motor, i was wondering if there were any newer motors i could drop in (maybe a Supra engine?)
I have done a couple engine swaps already, i know it will take some modifications, but does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a '73 Celica ST. So far the most common swaps would be the 18RG, 20R, 22R, 22RE, 3SGTE. Some owners have even swapped in the SR20DET, KA20, 2RZ and even the 1JZGTE but you would have to pay a lot to get it done.
I would like to swap in the 2RZ.

many motors fit . but unlike a datsun 510 it's harder to do and it's still just got a straight axle.
18rg , 22r , 7mge or 7mgte are your best bets .
1jzgte delicious little motor. about 1800 for motor , trans ecu. but it's gonna be one heckuva tight fit.
