2000 GT gas consumption
ive looked at a few sites and they said that the 2000 GT matic runs about 24-27 mpg city.
heres the story. i got a full tank of gas and i got to about 260+ miles then i divided the miles that i got over how much gas i got after my next full tank. i averaged about 20.5 mpg. is this normal or what?

you are doing it wrong, you did not burn a full tank of gas, unless you drove until the car was completely out of gas and empty.
example: my gas tank holds 14.5 gallons of gas, but when the low fuel light comes on and i refill it, i usually only put in 11.5 to 12 gallons of gas.
to get a more accurate calculation of your average mpg, next time you fill up your tank, reset your trip computer, or write down the odometer mileage, drive around until you need to refill. fill up the tank, see how many gallons it takes to fill your tank, and then take the miles you have driven since your last fill up, and then divide it by how many gallons you put in. that will be a much more accurate measure of your mpg.
if your mileage is low, it could be a number of things, tires are under inflated, air filter could be dirty, oil could need to be changed. if the wheels and tires are bigger than the stock wheels, then the speedometer and odometer reading could be off.
