Lawrence Ojas is fanatical about his cars, and this Corolla is probably the best evidence. The car started as a $700 lump found on a VW used car lot and has since been completely rebuilt from the ground up. I had the pleasure of scrutinizing the car at last year's D1GP at the California Speedway and I finally understood the meaning of "better than showroom".

Imagine if you could build an AE86 from the ground up using the best techniques and products. Imagine that car was sitting in your driveway. Would you be dreaming? Yes, but Lawrence isn't and I'm sure his checking balance reflects the fact. The chassis was stitch-welded with over 3000 individual welds (I am going to trust him on this one) and outfitted with every Silkroad product manufactured for the Corolla. In the rare instance that Solkroad didn't make a product Lawrence used the best alternative on the market.
