well thats strange seeing as how its the same part number is used for the echo cruise. sounds like the dealer is too lazy to look it up for you.

My husband's SRT4 doesn't have cruise control. I wish it did.. 100 bucks isn't much,

The dealer i visited in Minneapolis installs genuine Toyota cruise control (from the camry) for $400.

That's pretty good if they can modify a system that is not even sold as a kit, from another car, and make it fit a different car that even the steering wheel is not made to have a cruise switch, and sell it for less than what it costs us install an aftermarket unit! What year Camry is the system from?

cruise control is a $350 option at my dealer. Totally worth it since i drive alot.

I thought there is an after market cruise control from rostra... which should be the same one that toyota would use if they had CC on our cars.

I'm not a real big fan of CC either. Personally i think it causes a few headaches, that said though... there've been a couple of times on in the xB where my leg tires out and I wished something like CC could take over, just for a few seconds. On other cars this never seems to happen, but I guess the high wind resistance against the xB makes it more apparent.

I dont think having a cruise control has anything to do with laziness just more like if you have a lead foot. Not having a cruise control in a car is like not having a remote for a huge bigscreen tv. Just would not make any sense.
