Any idea when we'll be getting a section in this forum for the fr-s?

Hmm wasn't it confirmed at the NY autoshow that it will be released mid-2012 as a Scion in the US and Toyota in the rest of the world?

Here, I just googled it and clicked the first source: Toyota Ft86/Scion fr-s confirmed! Goes to market in 2012 and will have boxer engine, 6 speed gearbox and lsd.

It's boxer. It's the Subaru part of the project: "Subaru’s new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine that will be paired to Toyota’s D-4S technology..." Also idk if it's confirmed, but yamaha is having a part of this project as well.

Sorry for the typo. I posted it from my iPad so the auto INcorrect strikes again, I guess.

I was sent a pic today on my phone of a listing for a FT86. $28K and weighs just over 3000 lbs. Does this mean the Subie will cost $40K?

http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...-drive/259779/. Sounds like a fun car, will probably do well..although I don't feel it will make "Hyundai genesis coupe owners cry" as posted above by another user here. Guess we will have to wait for a more thorough review before I make my final decision, although so far I am not completely sold on this car.
