Oh, I have little doubt that it could have lasted longer, but it was starting to make some funny noises and vibrations when stopped, and in gear. Full tuneup didn't help (said tuneup was certainly needed though) local shop claimed it was the front drive shaft, and that's a very pricey fix, and we were unconvinced that the drive shaft was the problem. Other than this odd intermittent shudder/vibration during idle in Drive, it ran like a clock. No hesitation on acceleration, never a question about starting, just zoom zoom. ;-)
Mrs. Scion had lost confidence in the vehicle because of the symptom, and she drives it 50 miles a day, over back country roads with poor cellular service. She had this car since new, 15 years ago, and certainly deserved a new car if she wanted one. She went from an egg to a box
We sold it to a guy that intends to use it as a work van. I'm sure there are many thousands of miles left in the vehicle.

haha, omg that is what ours does, it has a driveshaft problem because it was in a front end accident, and may dad is going to be doing that exact same thing, when the RS3.0 comes out, big egg to little box, but i love those vans, our's is a 93 and i want to get one in the future, to fiddle with.
