because the V8 block is pushin at least 350 HP. thats why. and since its the V8 straight out of the TUNDRA, that thing has MAD potential. the nascar guys used teh V8 tundra and push then engine to be over 1000HP.

but ya... a supra that isnt turbo isnt a supra IMO

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
They're stupid to run a mechanical fan , prone to fail and losing hp in the process.

You can kiss the twin turbo set ups good bye. Do you really think Toyota is going to bring back a turbo set up I-6? Yeah, right. With the market being more power, more mpg, don't count on it. Yeah, it would be killer but you have think realistic. Toyota will definitely not bring back TT, probably not even just a single turbo. Thats part of the reason i bet why they are dropping a V8 in it, to make up for the loss. THe cost $80K, don't think so. Thats a little too far fetched and impractical. Truth is no one really knows the price of the car, i've called TRD directly and also have talked to the lead management at my dealership, all agree it will more than likely be over-priced, TRD said they are figuring roughly low to mid $30s for base model, and going up from there. Toyota isn't stupid, they want the supra to sale, not bomb. Obviously if the car was going to be above $50K, it would come back as a Lexus because thats how its done. Lexus is the "elegant" version of Toyota. I'm not trying to start anything with anyone, just trying to get everyone to think more realistically and market wise.

well the old mkIV supra stopped being sold in the us for too low of sales with a mid 30's pricetag twin turbo . ........... they didnt stop selling them in japan till what 2000 or 2001... stopped in us in 98. we may love the cars but not enough to go get huge loans to own one. apparently

There not stupid, This is Az and if you run an electrical fan it will cause the engine to overheat due to the heat in Az. Its never failed and with 1453 I dont think they care!
